State Audit of Vietnam will inspect many infrastructure projects this year with their investment costs amounting to trillions of Vietnam dong, such as the newly-opened Terminal T2 at Noi Bai International Airport and HCMC-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway, according to VietnamPlus.

Terminal T2 covering nearly 140,000 square meters was put into use early this month and can handle ten million passengers per year by 2020 and five million more passengers by 2030.
Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC) plans to open to traffic the remaining section of HCMC-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway on February 8 after the 20-kilometer-long section connecting HCMC and Long Thanh was opened to traffic early last year.

The project began construction in 2009. The first phase of the 55-kilometer-long expressway costs VND20.63 trillion, funded by official development assistance (ODA) loans and Vietnam’s reciprocal capital.
The 48 major projects to be audited by State Audit this year include the National Assembly House, National Highway 3’s Hanoi-Thai Nguyen section, Nhat Le 2 Bridge, Danang Administrative Center and the road linking Nhat Tan Bridge and Noi Bai Airport in addition to the two mammoth projects.
The agency also plans to audit the use of State capital and the restructuring of State groups and corporations like Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, Vietnam Electricity Group, Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group, Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group, Vietnam National Shipping Lines, Vietnam National Tobacco Corporation, Song Da Corporation and Vietnam Railway Corporation.
