VietNamNet Bridge - For the first time labor instruments and jewelry dating back to 2,000 years ago or more as well as pottery items of the Nguyen Dynasty are on display in Hue City.

The Hue Cultural Museum in collaboration with two antique collectors, Lam Du Xenh from the central province of Quang Ngai and Nguyen Huu Hoang form Hue, opened the exhibition entitled “Thousand-year-old antiques tell historic stories” on April 24 to celebrate Hue Festival 2016 (April 30 – May 4).

Many artifacts belonging to the Sa Huynh culture dating back to more than 2000 years ago in the collection of Lam Du Xenh are introduced this time. These are daily items such as pots, dishes, pots, vases of Sa Huynh culture. According to the collection owner, each item has its own special story. 

Ms. Nguyen Hong Hoa Tranh, director of the Hue Cultural Museum, said the exhibition introduces to the public the treasure of antiques of Hue and the central provinces, an important part of the national cultural heritage.  

These artifacts contain many messages of history and culture from the past. They partly reveal the formation, development, life, and traditions of ancient Vietnamese. The artifacts in the collections of two collectors Lam Du Xenh and Nguyen Huu Hoang are about 2000-2500 old.
