The unidentified black and small insects that look like beetles, appeared in massive numbers on the ceiling and walls of Duong Thi Que's house in the commune earlier this month. They spread all over the beds, tables and chairs.

The local authorities collected some samples and sent them for tests.

Que said the creatures had a bad smell, and though she used all kinds of insect sprays, they seemed to multiply even more and faster. There were nights when she collected one kilogram of the bugs from her house. Her family was even forced to eat and sleep outside the house.

The samples of the bugs have been sent to the Song Hinh District's Plantation Protection Unit for identification.
