Samsung commits to supporting the development of Vietnam's semiconductor industry

On July 3, CMC Chairman Nguyen Trung Chinh joined Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's delegation in visiting Samsung's cutting-edge semiconductor complex in Gyeonggi Province.

Mr. Lee Jae Yong affirmed that Samsung will continue to prioritize Vietnam for expanding its cooperation and sustainable development initiatives, aligning with the spirit of "harmonized benefits, shared risks" as emphasized by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. The Samsung Chairman noted the remarkable growth of the partnership over the past 16 years, underscoring that "Vietnam's success is Samsung's success, and Vietnam's development is Samsung's development."

Addressing the gathering at Samsung's Semiconductor Complex, CMC Chairman Nguyen Trung Chinh highlighted that CMC Global, a subsidiary, currently provides 1,000 experts for Samsung's GDC, ensuring top-tier global IT services. He emphasized that Vietnamese engineers meet Samsung's high professional and technical standards. CMC Chairman also proposed several key initiatives:

Technology Transfer and Training: Supporting technology transfer and training initiatives, enabling CMC and other companies to supply high-quality human resources.
• Providing Experimental Equipment: Facilitating Vietnamese engineers' access to real production environments at Samsung's chip factories for learning and research.
• Supporting CMC University: Assisting CMC University in training high-quality semiconductor professionals.

CMC commits to collaborate with the Government and partners to prepare the necessary technical infrastructure to meet Samsung's investment requirements, ensuring seamless and successful collaboration.
