VietNamNet Bridge – Starting from this month, the book street on Nguyen Van Binh road next to two of HCMC’s landmarks, the Post Office and the Notre Dame Cathedral, will feature many street art activities on Saturday morning and Sunday night apart from programs for readers to exchange with authors, book launches and discussions.

“The street art activities will make the book street a more interesting place. College students in the city will stage free music performances,” Quach Thu Nguyet, a member of the book street’s organizing committee, told the Daily.

Recently, programs such as ao dai (traditional Vietnamese long dress) exhibition and a ceremony to commemorate talented musician Trinh Cong Son held between March 28 and April 3 left a good impression on local people and tourists to the city.

More exhibitions and music shows are expected to be organized on the book street to create a cultural space for visitors.
