It’s highly likely that the Vietnamese striker who played for Mito Hollyhock FC in 2016 at J-League 2 will no longer play for HAGL or any other Vietnamese clubs in the coming time, thanhnien.vn reported.

Instead, he will return to Japan to demonstrate his ability at J-League after the 2016 unlucky adventure at Mito Hollyhock, said the newswire.

Cong Phuong’s destination is yet to be revealed.

In 2016, Cong Phuong played for Mito Hollyhock FC under a loan contract but failed. He then tried to test his ability in Belgium but sat on the bench all the time.

Though HAGL has yet to confirm the news, the FC recently signed a contract with young strike Quoc Viet who has five times won the title the Best Scorer at national U17, U19 and U21 tournaments. The young striker is expected to succeed Cong Phuong at HAGL.
