VietNamNet Bridge – After two years playing for Vissai Ninh Binh FC, striker Viet Thang, a member of the national football squad, suddenly said goodbye to move to Binh Duong FC.

According to some anonymous sources, the transfer fee is up to VND9 billion ($450,000). However, Viet Thang had to pay VND2.5 billion ($122,000) of compensation for Vissai Ninh Binh for leaving the FC before due.

Two years ago, Viet Thang’s transfer affair was very famous since the transfer fee was up to VND8 billion ($470,000), the record high level that time.

Though he did not score the highest number of goals for Ninh Binh (12 goals at V-League 2011), he played a key role in the team. He is also a member of the national team.

Viet Thang has not played football for a month to cure wounds in HCM City. During this time, he met with Binh Duong FC’s representatives to discuss the new contract. Accordingly, Viet Thang will join Binh Duong the next football season.

Thang left Ninh Binh to join Binh Duong for not only high wage (VND50 million or $2,500/month), but also for challenging himself in a new environment.

“Binh Duong is a big and ambitious FC. I will have to compete with other strikers there but I believe in my ability,” Thang said.

Leaving Ninh Binh one year before the duration, Viet Thang had to pay VND2.5 billion of compensation, but he will have VND6 billion ($300,000) from Binh Duong for the three-year contract.

This is the first transfer affair of the 2012 football season.
