The preparatory class for university entrance exams in Cau Giay district.

Some reporters witnessed a thousand students were reading the opening of a sample essay in the way that is not different from the first graders, practicing reading at a preparatory class for university entrance exams in Cau Giay district.

As noted by reporters, to get into this class, students have to buy a ticket and a list of literature exam questions which were solved. Each session lasts for four hours but the teacher only taught students to learn by rote the solved questions.

Several students used recorders to record the “lesson" to practice reading it at home. This odd method of teaching is advertised to be very useful, with up to 90 percent of students passing the university entrance exams.

Oddly, there were nearly a thousand students in this small classroom.

Whether students can gain knowledge from this class or they are just reading machines? And what do educators think about it?

Only several days after some newspapers reported about this class, the Cau Giay District Education Division inspected this center and temporarily closed this class because the number of attendants exceeds the ceiling level set by the Ministry of Education and Training.
