VietNamNet Bridge – The Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Science and Technology hosted a ceremony in the southern province of Dong Nai on January 5 to give hundreds of students and young lecturers the Vietnam Young Science Talent Award 2012.

The awards were given to 546 students for 226 subjects. Of these, 26 students received first prize, 37 got the second prize and 157 received third prize.
This is the first time such awards were also given to young lecturers as well--which included 10 first prizes, five second prizes and 22 third prizes.
Associate Professor Tran Quang Quy, Deputy Minister of Education and Training, said that Vietnam Young Science Talent Award has been organized annually since 1989 for students nationwide.
The Ministry will now look into publishing papers on methods of scientific research for students and young lecturers to pursue scientific research.
