The Cinema for Everyone 2014 programme will show the Vietnamese movie Than Tuong (Idol), which won various awards at the Golden Kite Awards 2013, in Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Nha Trang and Nghe An, as well as Hai Duong, Thai Nguyen, An Giang and Ninh Thuan.

This year, students will also get a chance to learn more about the value and significance of intellectual property rights through dialogues with CJ CGV Viet Nam, the event organiser, in conjunction with the Motion Picture Association of America.

The film conveys the major message: "Dropping out of school to pursue the dream of becoming an idol is a mistake".

It also awakens the youth to the reality that being an idol is not the only way to demonstrate one's talent and passion for the arts, and that knowledge from school is always crucial, even in showbusiness.

Actress Hoang Thuy Linh and actor Hua Vi Van will be at cinemas in Hai Duong and Da Lat to share with students their experiences in the filmmaking and post-production stages.

Under the support of local departments of sport, culture and tourism, the Cinematography Department, film distributors and cinemas, CJ CGV Viet Nam has implemented the Cinema for Everyone project over the past three years to showcase works of humanity for nationwide audiences.
