VietNamNet Bridge – The new academic year has just begun, but in Vietnam’s southwestern region, many schools are on the verge of collapse.

Whenever it rains or storms, classrooms swing. Teachers are afraid that the ceiling
can collapse anytime but they cannot do anything.





The Long Binh primary school in Long Binh commune, in Nga Nam district, the southern province
of Soc Trang, is in seriously poor condition.

district--was built in 1990, with four classrooms. Students have to study in three shifts.





Teachers are very afraid that the school can collapse anytime. Walls are “edged”
 by planks. There is only one room for 20 teachers.
