Vietnamese representative Huyen My will wear a traditional long dress (Ao Dai) weighing 30 kilograms in the National Costume competition at Miss Grand International 2017 pageant on October 12.
The national costume has been made by designer Ngo Nhat Huy. It took the Vietnamese designer 3 months to complete the unique costume. The dress is inspired by patterns at the Hue Imperial Citadel in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue. The costume weighs 30 kilograms. It is a big challenge for anyone wearing it to perform on the stage. Huyen My will compete in the National Costume competition at Miss Grand International 2017 pageant in Quang Binh Province on October 12. The pageant has drawn the participation of 80 contestants. The grand finale will take place on Phu Quoc Island, Kien Giang Province on October 25. |
