VietNamNet Bridge – On the afternoon of February 27, the Super Cup organizers sent a written request to the Ministry of Public Security on the investigation of the match-fixing suspicion in the game between Saigon Xuan Thanh Cement and SHB Da Nang FCs on February 23.

 

The organizers, Tien Phong Newspaper and the Vietnam Professional Football JSC (VPF), said for the prestige of this event, they want the doubt to be clarified as soon as possible.

Speaking to the press on February 27, Mr. Nguyen Cong Khe, representative of the organizing board, said the person who sent the denunciation text to VPF’s officials had previously sent alert texts on match fixing, and the results turned out to be true.

“This is one of the reasons why the ethic advisory board of VPF is determined to investigate this case,” Khe said.

The VPF’s ethic advisory board also stated that they knew the person who sent the message but refused to disclose the name.

Earlier, Saigon Xuan Thanh Cement FC announced to present VND500 million bonus for anyone who find out the message sender.

The Ministry of Public Security’s Colonel Ho Si Tien confirmed to receive the Super Cup organizers’ petition.
