VietNamNet Bridge – Many scientists said that the Hong Bang International University’s observation that the ‘supernatural girl’ might cause fires by using a special lighter. They said that the university’s supposition is “groundless and not serious.”

Dr. Vu The Khanh, General Director of the Union of Information Technology and Science for Application (UIA), said that researchers are allowed to make supposition like the Hong Bang University did, but any scientific declaration must have proofs.

“We do not deny that the girl could cause fires by a specialized lighter, but scientific declaration made public without evidence will make the public confused and it is unfair for the subject of research if it is not the truth,” Dr. Khanh said.

He said that he received a letter from the ‘supernatural girl’s’ family three days ago. In the letter, the family asked Dr. Khanh to help investigate the case to have appropriate treatment methodology for the little girl.

Dr. Khanh said that scientists from the UIA and the Institute of Criminal Science would research this case.

UIA is specialized in testing and applying human’s special ability. This agency has cooperated with the Institute of Criminal Science to successfully investigate thousands of serious criminal cases. They are two first national agencies that join the ‘supernatural girl’ case.

Dr. Khanh said that specialized equipment and methods in criminal investigation will be used to find out the truth.

“Firstly, we will consider whether fires were intentionally created by someone. If this supposition is rejected, we will use specialized devices to measure environmental, biological… factors. If we do not find out anything from these elements, the spiritual feature will be taken into account,” he added.’

However, he refused to disclose further information about measures and the date to ensure security in scientific research.

Last week, besides scientists from the Hong Bang University, some physicists from HCM City also made fact-fighting activities at the girl’s house. However, they did not find out any abnormal element and they withdrew. They also said that it is possible that fires were caused by another agent, not the girl.

Dr. Nguyen Dac Hien, a physic and electronic expert from the HCM City Labor Safety Institute, said that if observing burnt objects collected from the girl’s house, one may say that they were burnt by a special lighter. However, that supposition is arbitrary and unconvincing because it is not proved, Dr. Hien said.

The girl’s parents said they were ‘stunned’ by the conclusion and the unexpected withdrawal of Hong Bang University’s experts.

“We need peace in our family and so my daughter can go to school and develop like others, so we asked for help from scientists to find out the truth. But the Hong Bang University’s experts made a declaration without any proof and withdrew,” said the girl’s mother.

The mother confirmed that her daughter is absolutely normal in mentality and she did not suffer from any psychological or family crisis. She said that the family would ask for help from prestigious scientific organizations.

Dr. Nguyen Van Tho, rector of the Institute for Psychological Research, said that an 11-year-old kid could not invent such fires, without the instruction from adults. He said that this supposition should be investigated firstly.

He said that this case is special and it needs further research.

Telepaths suggest treatment by coconut milk



While some experts denied the fire-making capability of the girl, researchers of special human abilities, Nguyen Phuc Giac Hai, from the Research Centre of Human Potentials, insisted that the girl has a special ability.

He disclosed measures that telepaths planned to “help” the girl. He said the three telepaths who met with and assess the girl’s ability did not introduce ‘treatment measures’ yet but he chose a “super-talented” telepath to help the girl.

According to Hai, this telepath has not met the girl yet but he knew that the girl experienced sudden change in her nervous system and she has special ability. He sent 14 fresh coconuts, which contain his “energy” to the girl for treatment. After the girl takes all 14 coconuts, the telepath will examine and decide whether further treatment is necessary or not.

Earlier, another telepath – Doan Viet Tien – suggested another ‘treatment method’ that uses ash but since ash is less ‘hygienic’ than coconut milk, Hai accepted the later.

Hai said that synchronous combustion has been reported in the world so scientists should not confirm and deny the case of the ‘supernatural girl’, without giving evidence. Physicists do not know about all phenomena in life.
