VietNamNet Bridge – Famous American cellist Jeffrey Solow will perform “Swan Lake” with artists of the Vietnam Opera Ballet Theatre at the Hanoi Opera House on the evening of September 21.

The Autumn Concert on the evening of September 21 in Hanoi will bring to the audience the “Swan Lake,” a great work by Russian composer Tchaikovsky and the works by Beethoven like improvisation for piano or Cello Concerto No. 1, Op.33. by Saint-Saens.

Jeffrey Solow is a famous American cellist whose music has mesmerized many fans in the U.S., Asia, Europe and Latin America. Two of the recordings of Jeffrey were nominated for the prestigious Grammy Award. He has played more than 40 works with various orchestras in the world.

The concert will also have the participation of Vietnamese pianist Tran Tam Ngoc. Ngoc won the top prize of the Southeast Asian Chopin Piano Competition held in Malaysia and the first prize of the Chamber Music and Piano Competition of the Boston Conservatory (USA).

The conductor of the Autumn Concert is Meritorious Artist, conductor Nguyen Thieu Hoa. He is one of the most professional conductors in Vietnam who studied at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow (Russia) for a long time.

Hoa previously performed with People's Artist, pianist Dang Thai Son, violinist Bui Cong Duy and international artists as Maehashi (Japan), Dorn (France), and Dimitrescu (Romania).
