The series of activities include one major exhibition and 18 other sideline events, including the visit of a delegation of Swedish businesses. The event will take place as part of the celebration of the 45th anniversary of Sweden-Vietnam diplomatic relations (1969 – 2014).

“Innovations are crucial for economic growth and development. We hope to share some insights with Vietnam of how innovations have contributed to make Sweden the developed nation it is today. We believe that through Innovative Sweden, the Vietnamese public will get to know a little bit more about Sweden, its companies, its universities and its culture,” said Ms. Elenore Kanter, Deputy Head of Mission, Counselor at the Swedish Embassy.

Innovative Sweden is a touring exhibition which has travelled to over 20 destinations in the world. You will get a glimpse of the groundbreaking high-tech innovations from Swedish start-up companies included in this exhibition, in four categories, ICT, life science, clean technology and gaming.

Innovations on display include the most advanced technologies such as a leading-edge portable camera, ocular-controlled computer technology and learning physics through gaming.

Along with the exhibition, four seminars on sustainable transport, clean-tech, innovative media and innovative disaster relief, as well as a photo exhibition which takes a close look at Swedish innovations through Vietnamese lenses will be held.

In addition, a Swedish film festival and other cultural events such as a disco lunch, a music festival and a gaming fest will also be organized during this period.

Finally, Study in Sweden with five top universities from Sweden will provide a picture of why you should choose the country of the Nobel Prize for your study destination.
