VietNamNet Bridge – Three bands from Sweden will perform at ATK, 73A Mai Hac De, Hanoi on June 11.
The Deer Tracks.
The Deer Tracks or Northern Light Electro duo consists of David Lehnberg and Elin Lindfors. Two versatile multi-instrumentalists and singers, they handle everything from writing to recording to production and even data recovery.
Their songs often stride fearlessly into the forest primeval, armed with a stuttering beat and a rattling arsenal of percussion and somehow they blend them all together with other natural found sounds and deliberately lo-fi digital artefacts that add bristle and grit to their relentless melodies.
Twiggy Frostbite got its breakthrough six years ago, when the debut album ‘Through Fire’ was released. Their soaring folk pop was featured in major international media including The Sunday Times, NME, Uncut, The Clash and Vice Magazine. The band was also played on the radio where they were ‘Band of The Week’ on BBC Radio 2.
Their music has been described as “excitingly magical like the feeling on the first frosty morning.” The band members describe their music as a paradox. Beautiful meets ugly, calm meets stormy, soft meets angular and brutal. It is both barren and explosive and heart-wrenchingly sweet.
Adora Eye is the singer/songwriter and drummer Jimmy Jönsso.
As a drummer, Jimmy has been on tours with bands like Woven Hand, Depeche Mode and Sisters Of Mercy, but now he is fully committed to guitar and vocals.
His songs are dark, bright and shrewd, about the good and bad in life. In 2012, Adora Eye released the ep “The devil and my black sunday bird”, (you can listen on Spotify) and in June 2014, he recorded a full-length album, yet to be released.
Tickets: VND80,000 tickets in advance, VND150,000 at the door.
