The new fee for motorbikes in the first four hours will be VND 6,000 (US$0.26). Vehicles’ owners will pay VND 1,000($0.04) for every additional hour.

The current fee is VND5,000 ($0.2) every eight hours.

The new fee for cars with between four and eight seats will be VND20,000 ($0.8) for the first 90 minutes, plus VND5,000 ($0.2) for every additional hour.

For cars with between nine and 25 seats, the fee will be VND40,000 ($1.7) for the first 90 minutes and VND15,000 ($0.6) for every additional hour.

The current fees are VND15,000 ($0.6) and VND30,000($1.3), respectively.

This is the first time that the city’s authorities have approved a fee hike at the airport, where the five-story parking garage opened in 2016.

Under Decision 6888 of the city’s People’s Committee, investors in parking garages or parking areas in the city can lobby the city to increase fees.

The airport parking garage, with investment capital of VND550 billion ($25 million), can serve 10,000 vehicles per day on an area of 21,000 square metres.
