A police station might be established in the third quarter at HCMC’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport to help guarantee security, the City’s People’s Committee has proposed.

The security situation at the airport can be quite complex, involving thieves, people flying kites and balloons nearby that pose a risk to flights, threats being made against flights, and passengers smuggling weapons, drugs and other contraband, according to the Committee.
A police station would be able to provide a quick response to any threats, similar to the one already established at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport.
