In the women's final, last year's champions Truong Thi Yen and Nguyen Thi Mai from Hai Phong were stunned by Phan Thi Cam Hong and Phan Thi Thu Ha of Tanimex after three sets, 21-15, 16-21, 13-15.
It's the first national title that Tuan and Quoc have won after finishing as runners-up three times at the national championship.
"I am very happy because this is the first time I've won the national title after reaching the final four times. I hope that my form will continue into the SEA Games in Indonesia next month," Tuan said.
The men's and women's champions are the first generation of beach volleyball players from the country's development plan that started in 2005, with training centres in Quang Ninh, Khanh Hoa and HCM City.
