Carrying determination and national pride, the Vietnamese delegation sets off for SEA Games 33, aiming for a top-tier finish with 90–110 gold medals.
On the morning of December 7, the Vietnamese sports delegation departed for Thailand to compete in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 33), with a strong ambition to win 90 to 110 gold medals and secure a top overall ranking. One day earlier, on December 6, over 100 delegation members from Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City had already begun their journey to Thailand.In Hanoi alone, 81 members - including officials, coaches, and athletes from various disciplines such as cycling, canoeing, swimming, jet skiing, sepak takraw, and artistic gymnastics - left on December 7, carrying with them high hopes and the weight of national expectations.The athletes expressed great confidence ahead of the regional competition.Vietnam is participating in SEA Games 33 with a total delegation of 1,165 members, including 842 athletes, 189 coaches, and 19 specialists. They will compete in 443 out of 573 events across 47 out of 66 sports.Head of delegation Nguyen Hong Minh emphasized that every member is departing with maximum determination, embodying the spirit, passion, and strength of Vietnam.“The Vietnamese sports delegation carries determination in our minds, a burning flame in our hearts, and strength from within.
