Murat Yuldashev has served as senior manager at investment institutions and banks in Kazakhstan and Eastern Europe and Turkey. He joined Techcombank when former CEO Simon Morris left the bank.

Murat Yuldashev was promoted to the new position at Techcombank shareholders’ meeting on April 18. The bank’s former acting CEO – Do Tuan Anh – was appointed a member of the Board of Directors.

Chairman of Techcombank Ho Hung Anh said that the bank would merge with another one but this will not happen in 2015. Last year Techcombank acquired Chemical Financial Company.

The bank chair also said that Techcombank had sold VND3.4 trillion of bad debt to the Vietnam Assets Management Corporation (VAMC).
