A technology platform will open its doors on May 15 in Hanoi, connecting start-up entrepreneurs, innovators and investors in the field.

Techfest 2015 has been co-organised by the National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialisation Development (NATEC) under the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Vietnam Digital Communication Association (VDCA) and the Vietnam National University - Hanoi.

The three-day event is expected to draw more than 1,000 entrepreneurs, 60 start-up businesses, 50 domestic and international investors and a number of firms and organisations operating in the field.

It presents opportunities for stakeholders to share experience in starting businesses and technology trends in 2015.

A presentation contest called Start-up Discovery featuring 10 start-up firms will also take place.

The groups will introduce their products and business plans to draw international investors and potentially secure seats at start-up festivals around the world.
