Vien triumphed in the women's 200m individual medley. Her teammate Tran Duy Khoi also bagged silver in the men's 200m individual medley.
The 17-year-old swimmer continued her good form from the fifth ASEAN School Games which finished on Friday in Ha Noi, where she took won eight golds and one bronze across the nine swimming categories.
In the women's futsal qualifying event, Viet Nam beat Malaysia 6-1 to rank third in Group A.
In the men's billiards, 9 Ball single round, Nguyen Anh Tuan lost to Palajin Kobkit of Thailand 6-9. Meanwhile, in the men's 6 red snooker single round, Pham Hoai Nguyen was defeated by Enkhbaatar Enkhjargal of Mongolia 2-5.
The event, which opened on Saturday, features athletes from 43 members of the Olympic Council of Asia.
