The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has issued a ten-day weather forecast for March 20-29, 2025, predicting a period of stable sunshine across Northern Vietnam before a cold air wave possibly arrives near the end of the month.
According to meteorologists, the continental cold high-pressure system, currently stable, will weaken and gradually shift eastward. From March 25-26, a low-pressure system from the west is expected to develop and expand eastward, bringing the potential for a new cold wave during the final days of March.
High-altitude wind divergence will remain active in the North until March 21, then weaken from March 22 onwards. Due to these meteorological patterns, the overall weather across the country will remain stable with minimal changes, characterized by mostly dry and sunny conditions. Some areas may experience light rain on occasion, but no significant disruptions are expected.
Detailed weather forecast for Northern Vietnam
From March 20-29, the North and North Central regions are expected to see mostly sunny weather with minimal rainfall. From March 24-29, light fog and scattered mild fog may form in the early morning.
Morning and nighttime temperatures will remain cool from March 20-24, while the Northwest region may experience localized heat from March 25 onward.
In Central Vietnam, occasional light rain is expected from March 20-22, with clear and sunny days from March 23-29. Cool mornings and evenings will continue during the first few days of the forecast period.
In the South Central Coast, Central Highlands, and Southern Vietnam, scattered showers and thunderstorms may occur in some areas, with daytime sunshine prevailing. The Southeast region will experience widespread heat, with temperatures potentially exceeding 36°C.
