VietNamNet Bridge – The best ten short films of the online YxineFF Festival 2010 will be screened in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in September.

At the invitation of the Meta House, a cultural centre in Phnom Penh, Phan Gia Nhat Linh will represent Vietnamese short-film makers to bring the ten films to Cambodia.

The ten films are divided into three categories: prize winning films, films on love and family and “breaking the wave” films.

There are three prize-winning films, namely “Thinking of You” by Vu Quang Huy, “Up in the Tree” by Bui Quoc Thang and “The Journey Unknown” by Do Dang Thuong.

“Garden” by Doan Hoang Kien, “Oh Mummy!” By Jenni Trang Le and “Mother and Child” by Phan Huyen My--represent the category of films on love and family.

The four remaining films are “Being Underlock” by a group of film makers, “Behind the Wood Door” by Ta Nguyen Hiep, “Les cheveux qui poussent à l'envers” by Truong Que Chi and “Cut” by Tran Ly Tri Tan.

The second YxineFF festival was kicked off in late May 2011, with the theme “Faith”. The deadline for submitting entries is September 15. The entries will be introduced on the YxineFF website as of September 30.

The competition’s jury members comprise of: director Bui Thac Chuyen, actress Hong Anh, film producer Jenni Trang le, cameraman Nguyen Nam and writer Truong Minh Quy.
