On March 6, M_Service, the operator of the leading fintech platform MoMo, received a certificate of merit from the Department of Cybersecurity and High-Tech Crime Prevention (A05) of the Ministry of Public Security for an outstanding collective achievement in coordination, contributing to protecting national security and ensuring social order and safety.

In the context of increasing high-tech crimes with many sophisticated methods, digital financial platforms and payment intermediary organizations have also become targets for exploitation in illegal activities such as fraud, online gambling, or property appropriation.

Given that reality, strengthening cooperation between digital financial service providers and functional agencies plays an important role in ensuring system safety and protecting users in digital space.

Senior Colonel Trieu Manh Tung, Deputy Director of the Department of Cybersecurity and High-Tech Crime Prevention, said that recently MoMo has coordinated closely and effectively with functional agencies in the prevention and suppression of crime and law violations exploiting e-wallet services, contributing to social order and safety.

Particularly, the enterprise built a technical system to review and block tens of thousands of e-wallet accounts with signs of violating the law. In 2022-2025, the enterprise received and coordinated handling of thousands of requests from central and local police agencies nationwide.

MoMo is also the first payment intermediary organization to coordinate with Department A05 to implement the connection of the System for receiving and responding to requests for information from the Ministry of Public Security via electronic documents, while connecting with the warning database on payment accounts and e-wallets related to illegal activities.

On this platform, the company continues to invest strongly in autonomous technology, applying AI and Big Data in real-time fraud detection, strengthening risk control, and protecting users in the digital financial space.

The systems are built and operated according to strict international security standards, ensuring safety for more than 30 million users along with 500,000 small traders and businesses on the MoMo ecosystem.

November 28, 2025, marked 15 years of the MoMo brand presence in the market. After 15 years in the Vietnamese market, MoMo has developed into a digital financial ecosystem serving more than 30 million users, meeting diverse daily financial needs, from payments and shopping to education, healthcare, and online public services.

MoMo is currently one of the important payment platforms for online public services, supporting more than 90 percent of public administrative services nationwide. On the National Public Service Portal, MoMo accounts for about 25 percent of total cashless transactions.
