1. Authentic Lunar New Year Festivities at Metropole Hanoi
29 – 31 Jan 2016, 4 – 8 pm
A nice occasion to taste authentic, traditional foods and enjoy the ambiance of Cho Que (country market in Vietnam). Vendors will set up shop along the walkway bordering one side of the hotel’s inner sanctum, dressed in traditional garb, selling food, handicrafts and colourful dó paper paintings.
2. Annual Tet Festival at Bookworm
Sun 31 Jan 2016, 2 pm
Bookworm and the Hanoi Cooking Centre are holding an exciting Tet celebration on the last day of January. Participants will get to discover Tet calligraphy, horoscope animal printing, balloon bending, as well as enjoying banh chung, mulled wine and other sweet treats. The event will be joined by a music ensemble, playing Vietnamese folk songs.
3. Tet Art 2016 – Vietnam’s Leading Contemporary Art Fair
22 – 31 Jan 2016, 9 am – 8 pm
TET ART 2016 unites and showcases more than 200 curated original artworks by more than 80 leading Vietnamese and international modern and contemporary artists. The program also features a series of art talks, workshops and performances.
4. Hanoi Winter Carnival

Come, have fun, celebrate the Lunar New Year and raise money to support local charities! Lots of exciting games – and of course, foods – are waiting for you.
5. Tết DOME 2016

Add a bit more “personality” to your home by selecting some of the decorative crafts available at Tết DOME 2016. The exhibition is organized with 200 paintings, 200 ceramics artworks, 50 Ao dai collections and hundreds of crafts to contribute to preservation of traditional Tet.
6. Folk paintings exhibition “Nét Xuân” at the Center of the Old Quarter’s culture exchange

A special exhibition that showcase 5 types of Vietnamese folk paintings and feature some wooden pieces depicting the Vietnam’s map.
7. Painting Exhibition “Bính Thân 2016” at lAcA Cafe
26 Jan – 02 Feb 2016
An exhibition inspired by this year’s mascot: the monkey, with the participation of 14 artists. Through nearly 30 paintings with different styles, sizes and materials, the monkey appears to be smart, clever and funny.
8. Tet Celebration at Vietnam Museum of Ethnology
8.30 – 11.30 am and 11.30 am – 5.30 pm, 13 and 14 Feb 2016
Enjoy a special post-Tet celebration by exploring the culture of people from Vietnam’s central highlands. Have some food from the Thai/Muong people, play some folk games, enjoy the highland traditions that are rare to find in the city.
