Thai-Cambodian Regional Border Committee (RBC) meeting is scheduled from August 23 to 25 to discuss on bilateral ties in Thailand's northeastern Nakhon Ratchasima province, local media NNT reported on Sunday.
During the RBC meeting, both sides are expected to discuss the bilateral trade, tourism, anti-narcotic measures and border troop reductions, according to Colonel Prawit Hukaew, spokesperson for the Army Region 2.
Lt Gen Thawatchai Samutsakorn, Commander General of the Thai Army Region 2 will lead the Thai negotiation team, while Maj Gen Chea Mon, Commander of Military Region 4 will lead the Cambodian team.
Thai and Cambodian governors of the border provinces will also participate in the meeting, which is also aimed at setting framework for further discussion for the 8th General Border Committee meeting on Sept.8.
