C.K arrived in Ho Chi Minh City on QR608 flight from Doha, Qatar, hiding heroin in two double-bottomed suitcases.

Over the past 10 days, 11.9kg of heroin have been seized at Tan Son Nhat Airport.

*** Earlier on April 6, Son La provincial authorities caught three men illegally transporting 30 cakes of heroin weighing more than 10kg from Laos to Vietnam.

They are Phung A De (born in 1967), Phang A Lu (born in 1969) and Phang A Vien (born in 1995) residing in Mai Chau district, Hoa Binh province.

Drug trafficking is becoming more sophisticated in Dien Bien, Son La, Hoa Binh, Lang Son, Hanoi and Thanh Hoa.
