VietNamNet Bridge – A documentary about Vietnamese people living in Thailand and their native homeland will be aired on Thai PBS (Thai Public Broadcasting Service) this Saturday.

Viet Nam in My Eyes also documents the lives of ethnic Thais living in Viet Nam.

A poignant part of the programme documents the life of President Ho while he was living in Thailand in 1927-29.

Thepechai Young, director of the Thai PBS Channel, said it was clear that Vietnamese people living in Thailand bore a great love for their homeland but said he was surprised how little ASEAN nations knew about each other.

"We are living in an ASEAN community but we do not understand much about each other. Is that good when ASEAN is moving towards a common community like the EU?" he said, adding that he planned to do more programmes on Viet Nam in the near future.
