Recently, the story of the family with the same birth month and date of birth, shared by a girl in Thai Nguyen, has attracted special attention from netizens.

She wrote: “This is a story that surprises everyone anytime I reveal. Dad is the yellow candle, mom is the green candle, I am the pink candle, then the whole family blows out a birthday cake together.”

The girl attached images of ID cards which show that her mother, father and herself were born on the same day, February 10. The girl’s parents have the same day, month, and year of birth.

Her post has attracted 4,000 likes and hundreds of comments. Most netizens have expressed their surprise about the coincidence.

The owner of the post is Hoang Ngoc Anh, born 2002, in Thai Nguyen. Anh told VietNamNet that this lovely coincidence has always been something treasured by her family.

Ngoc Anh is her parents’ only daughter. For her, this is not just a coincidence but a special fate.

“I was born just two days before Tet (February 10th of the solar calendar). My mother went into labor and gave birth naturally without any arrangements and intervention. I feel very lucky to have the same birth date as my parents,” Ngoc Anh said.

Anh added that right after the successful delivery, her mother only knew it was just two days before Tet. It was only when she made the birth certificate that her mother learned that her daughter had the same birth date as hers.

Anh and her parents’ birthdays in 2024 fell on the first day of Tet. When relatives and friends call to wish her a happy new year, they also send her family birthday wishes.

When Ngoc Anh was little, her parents prepared the cake. Since she grew up and started working, she has been the one who buys the cake and blows out the candles with her parents.

Anh said that birthday parties vary in different years and may coincide with Tet holiday. If the birthday comes on ordinary days, they go to work as usual and gather in the evening to celebrate their birthday.

Anh now works for the University of Economics and Law under the HCM City National University. Her parents are businesspeople.
