Thai Thi Hoa, the Vietnamese representative at Miss Earth 2020, has won a gold medal in the national costume competition of the ongoing pageant in the Asia and Oceania region.
The local beauty wears a costume named Au Co Mother, the legendary and sacred mother of the nation, as designed by Tuan Hai.
She dons an Ao Dai, a Vietnamese traditional dress, which has been embroidered with dragon symbols coupled with gold decoration.
The headdress of the costume is one metre high and weighs a total of five kg.
Hoa stated that winning first prize in the contest made her feel more confident ahead of her participation the final night of the event, which is scheduled to take place on November 29.
This comes after Hoa sent a video clip, which was originally recorded at Vietnam Quoc Tu Pagoda in Ho Chi Minh City, and sent it to the organising board of the beauty pageant as she competed in the national costume contest.
Born in 1994, the Vietnamese beauty stands at 1.75 metres tall and measures 84-62-95. At present, she is working as the CEO of a local real estate and beverage company.
Gwenivere lfeanyieze of Nigeria also won the gold prize in the national costume contest in Africa, while Marta Lorenzo of Spain claimed first place in the European region. Elsewhere, Stephany Zreik of Venezuela won first prize in the Americas.
The organising board of the Miss Earth beauty pageant have revealed a collection of photos which features each of the contest’s participating beauties looking spectacular whilst wearing angel costumes.
Vietnamese representative Thai Thi Hoa at Miss Earth 2020, joined with other contestants in the Asia and Oceania region on October 26 as participants put on an elegant display as part of the pageant’s evening gown competition.
