VietNamNet Bridge – Eleven cars of Thai tourists entering Vietnam without temporary number plates have been fined by the police of Hai Lang district in the central province of Quang Tri.

On October 13, the traffic police of Hai Lang district detected 11 cars with foreign number plates running on Highway 1A. They are right-wheeled cars of Thai tourists, which entered Vietnam under a contract with a Hanoi-based travel agent.

Although the cars were allowed by the Ministry of Transport to enter Vietnam, the cars did not have temporary number plates under Vietnam’s law.

The cars were fined and asked to have temporary number plates to continue the journey in Vietnam.

The cars entered Vietnam through the Cha Lo border gate in the central province of Quang Binh. They are allowed to go through the provinces of Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien - Hue, and cities of Da Nang, Hoi An and leave Vietnam through the border gate at Lao Bao in Quang Tri province, from October 12 to 16.
