VietNamNet Bridge – In the last couple of days, tens of thousands of butterflies have appeared in several mountain districts of Thanh Hoa province, in central Vietnam. Visitors have flocked to the area to see the butterflies.



Butterflies have appeared in the districts of Cam Thuy, Ngoc Lac, Thach Thanh and some other places in Thanh Hoa. Some roads are spread over by thousands of butterflies.

On the morning of May 7, correspondents saw thousands of butterflies flying on Ho Chi Minh Road, the section crossing Cam Thuy district, on the fields and even in residential areas.

Local residents said that butterflies had appeared for a week and the number was on the rise, especially on hot days. However, they only appeared from 8 to 10am and moved only from the East to the West.



Old people said that butterflies usually appeared in the region in recent years but this year the number of butterflies was huge. They often grouped up along streams to drink water.

Butterflies hindered the field of vision of drivers on Ho Chi Minh highway from 8am to 10am. They are not very large and mainly in yellow color.
