VietNamNet Bridge - Thanh Hoa provincial leaders have confirmed that the province is much a potential for organizing the Mrs. World 2015 pageant.

Mr. Vuong Van Viet, Thanh Hoa’s Deputy Chair, says the province is determined to host the event, after the First Mrs World Doan Thi Kim Hong, who is also the Vice President of the Mrs. World Organization, made a survey in Thanh Hoa in late March.

Viet says that Thanh Hoa Province is the land of spiritual masterpiece, that looks like a miniature Vietnam, with dense heritage sites such as the Ho Dynasty Citadel, Lam Kinh – the special national relics, Sam Son beach, Cam Luong fish pond, Ham Rong Bridge, Horse River… and these are a platform for the province’s tourism development as a key economic sector.

"We hope that the First Mrs. World Kim Hong will convince the Mrs. World organization to hold the pageant in Thanh Hoa in 2015. In that year, Thanh Hoa will organize the National Tourism Year, so hosting this beauty contest will be truly meaningful," he says.

According to Viet, Thanh Hoa has well organized many international events and has a number of other potentials that match the organization of a major beauty contest.

"There are also many provinces and cities in Vietnam that have suitable conditions for this contest but with favorable conditions, mountains, sea, landscapes, monuments, and contestants of the Mrs. World pageant will have opportunity to explore Vietnamese tourism in general, Thanh Hoa tourism in particular. This is also an opportunity to promote Thanh Hoa’s tourism and economy. Thanh Hoa has just opened an air route to HCM City. It is also not far from Hanoi. This is convenient for the Mrs. World contestants. With effort and determination, combined with the existing conditions, we are confident that we is able to organize the pageant successfully," Viet says.

On March 30, the organizers of the Miss Ethnic Vietnam 2013 pageant, including Dr. Doan Thi Kim Hong - the First Mrs. World and the winners of the Miss Ethnic Vietnam 2011 visited Thanh Hoa province.
