Midfielder Pham Thanh Luong has been nominated for the 2014 Fair Play Award alongside four other nominees.

The Ha Noi T&T player brought bandages to Vietnamese fans who was assaulted by Malaysian fans during the first leg of the AFF Cup semi-final at the Shah Alam Stadium in Malaysia.

Luong, who won Player of the Year in 2009 and 2011, performed well at the AFF Cup this year, and has also been nominated for the AFF Cup Best Player award by Goal Malaysia.

The other nominees are Viet Nam's U19 team, Ha Noi T&T's U21 coach Pham Minh Duc, Can Tho fans and the Viet Nam Football Supporters' management board.

Sport journalists and experts will vote for this award, and the results will be announced on January 28 next year in HCM City.
