Nguyen Hoang Thanh won the gold medal in the men's 21km professional category at the HCM City Run on Sunday.

Thanh finished his race with a time of one hour, 11 minutes and 17 seconds.

Nguyen Dang Khoa won the amateur category with a time of 1:14.08.

In the women's category, Le Thi Thuy won the pro pool (1:24.36), while Nguyen Dang Thanh Thuy topped the amateur class (1:28.53).

National team member Nguyen Dang Duc Bao finished first in the men's 10km professional event (34.39), and Nguyen Van Mien won the amateur event (34.53).

Pham Thi Quyen Tram won the women's 10km professional gold medal (41.17), while Le Thuong won the amateur category (43.35).

Runners also took part in other categories, with the HCM City Run attracting more than 6,000 participants in its second edition.
