VietNamNet Bridge – London Olympian Phan Thi Ha Thanh won four out of five women's individual gold medals in the National Gymnastics Championships which has wrapped up in Quan Ngua Sports Palace in Ha Noi.

Thanh won a bronze medal at the 2011 World Artistic Gymnastics Competition in Tokyo to qualify for the London Olympics.

In the men's events, London Olympian Pham Phuoc Hung bagged three out of seven gold medals.

The event, which saw Hai Phong and Ha Noi take the team prize with five gold medals each, attracted the participation of nearly 40 athletes.

Le Thu Huyen and Pham Nhu Thao lost to Saki Hayata and Akane Watanabe of Japan 21-18, 26-24 in the women's doubles at the 2012 Yonex World Junior Badminton Championships in Chiba, Japan yesterday, Nov 1.

In the men's doubles, Sol Kyu Choi and Se Woong Park of South Korea defeated Do Duc Tuan and Pham Hong Nam 21-10, 21-8.

In the mixed doubles, Tuan and Huyen lost to Jae Wook Jung and Seung Chan Shin of South Korea 21-12, 20-22, 21-14.

The event will finish tomorrow.
