Conductor Le Phi Phi and musicians of the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra at the Things Everlasting 2019 concert.


The program is organized by VietNamNet newspaper under the direction of the Ministry of Information and Communications.

This year, the concert will not have an artistic director but an advisory board consisting of musician Quoc Trung, conductor Le Phi Phi, director of the National Symphony Orchestra Trinh Tung Linh, and VietNamNet Editor-in-chief Pham Anh Tuan.

Singers Thanh Lam, Dang Duong, Tung Duong, Pham Thu Ha, My Anh will perform in this year's concert.



Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Editor-in-Chief of VietNamNet newspaper, said the through-the-year theme of Things Everlasting is love for the motherland. This year it will be a bit different from previous years. With the theme "Vietnamese aspiration", in addition to honor medical staff after long days of stress, the concert shows the aspirations of the Vietnamese people through hardship: to live, recover, and build the country into a powerful and prosperous nation.

With the participation of musician Quoc Trung on the advisory board, the Things Everlasting 2022 concert will include both famous music works and those composed recently, which are loved by many young people - for example, the song "Stork" by musician Luu Ha An and "Living like flowers" by singer-songwriter Ta Quang Thang.

Well-known musicians such as Trong Dai, Quoc Trung, Tran Manh Hung, Luu Ha An, Luu Quang Minh will join hands to arrange music works like Dáng đứng Việt Nam (Vietnam's posture), Bài ca hy vọng (Song of Hope), Hà Nội ngày trở về (Hanoi - The day we come back), Bài ca người chiến sĩ áo trắng (The song of medical soldiers) và Hoa huệ trắng (White Lily), Ta tự hào đi lên ôi Việt Nam (Vietnam - My Pride), Đất nước tình yêu (The Country and Love), Người là niềm tin tất thắng (Uncle Ho - You Are the Faith for Victory), Biển hát chiều nay (Sea sings this afternoon), Em có nghe âm thanh ngày mới (Do you hear the sound of a new day),...

Instrumental works will be Se chỉ luồn kim (Spin thread and thread a needle), Hà Nội niềm tin và hy vọng (Hanoi - Faith and Hope), Người về đem tới ngày vui (Uncle Ho comes and brings happy days)...

Conductor Le Phi Phi has performed at Everlasting Things concerts for years. This year, in addition to the role of conductor, he is also an advisor. Two works by his late father – musician Hoang Van – will be performed this year, including Bài ca người chiến sĩ áo trắng (The song of medical workers) and Hoa huệ trắng (White Lily).

The concert will see the presence of many famous names in the music world of Vietnam, such as Meritorious Artist Thanh Lam, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Tung Duong, Vu Thang Loi, Pham Thu Ha, Pham Khanh Ngoc, Dao Mac, Dao To Loan, Tran Trang, Trang Bui, My Anh, the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra, and the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Choir.

The concert will be broadcast live on VTV1 at 2pm on September 2 from the Hanoi Opera House.
