Fansipan is a mountain in Vietnam, the highest in Indochina (comprising Vietnam,
 Laos, and Cambodia), at 3,143 meters. It is located in Lao Cai province of Northwest
Vietnam, 9km southwest of Sa Pa town in the Hoang Lien Son mountain range.
Fansipan is dubbed "the Roof of Indochina;" it is to be approved as one of the very few
 ecotourist spots of Vietnam, with about 2,024 floral varieties and 327 faunal species.

Phyllostachys nigra or black bamboo, which is in the Vietnam
 Red Book, also grows on Fansipan.






Specific trees in this area include the family Fagaceae, or beech family,
Magnoliaceae orchirds and nearly 100 species of Ericaceae.





Under the shade are Amomum aromaticum trees.

Red water-rail (Rhododendron sp).












Tree frog (Polypedates dugritei). This is the amphibian species which lives
 on the highest height over the sea level of Vietnam.




Primula chapaensis is an endemic species of Fansipan.
It is named in the Vietnam Red Book.
