On January 28, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc had a meeting with the police and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on the prevention and control of crime.
Reporting to the Deputy PM of the results of the one month crime attack campaign, Deputy Chairman of the HCM City People's Committee Le Minh Tri said, crime has plummeted after the campaign.
"Before the New Year, we thought we would be able to crack down on crime, but to maintain this after the New Year, it should be recalculated accordingly. We cannot always use all the forces like this," Tri said.
Appreciating the results of the crime suppression month of Ho Chi Minh City, the Deputy Minister of Public Security--Le Quy Vuong, said that the city should not be subjective but it should be on high alert against the crime. "Once we neglect, crime will work again," Vuong said.
According to the Deputy Minister, in the long run, Ho Chi Minh City should promote the movement of the people to protect national security and social order. He also suggested that Ho Chi Minh City promote the robbery hunting model because this model is very effective.
Mr. Vuong also suggested for the city Police to strongly attack gangs operating in adjacent regions such as Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh ... "You should not say that if you strongly attack crime in HCM City, they will run to Binh Duong. If Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc also strongly attack crime, where will criminals run to."
In addition, in the report to the Deputy Prime Minister, Vuong also said that the Ministry of Public Security will publish most wanted subjects on the Internet.

Many other delegates said that suppression of crime should not be alone but must be close coordination between the provinces and regions in the country.
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said the government had issued many guidelines on crime suppression, because this is the hot issue of the country, if it is not done well it will affect the trust of the people.
"People say the economy may be weak, but their request is a peaceful life. This requirement is very urgent; we have to do it now. We have the ability and enough resources to do this. HCM City must continue to prevent crime," said Phuc.
He also confirmed that, if the city needs 1-2 more mobile police regiments, the central government is ready to support.
