VietNamNet Bridge – The largest ring providing prostitutes in Da Nang has been detected by Thanh Khe District police. Ten people were arrested on September 15.

At about 1 am of September 15, criminal police of Thanh Khe district, Da Nang city suddenly broke into Mai Van Hotel on Tran Tong Road, Thanh Khe District, and caught in the act three pairs of men and women being in the sex trade.

At the police station, Mai Van Hotel’s manager named BTT admitted to conceal prostitutes in his hotel.
According to whoremasters, at about 19:30 am on September 14, they went to PT karaoke bar on Ham Nghi road, Thanh Khe district to sing and call Duong Duy Tien, 33, residing in Hoang Hoa Tham street, Thanh Khe District, a pimp to required three girls to serve them at the bar.

Tien told his wife, Huynh Thi Trang, 31, to send three girls to serve these “customers.”
After singing, the whoremasters and the three girls went to Mai Van Hotel to have sex for VND800,000 ($40)/girl. They were caught by police at the hotel.
The whoremasters claimed that they usually went to the Faifo karaoke bar on Hai Phong Road, Thanh Khe District, which is ran by spouses Tien - Trang.
If customers needed girls to serve them when they eat, drink or sing karaoke, Tien - Trang would send some girls to serve them and collected VND200,000 ($10) from each customer.
If these girls agreed to go to hotels with customers, they had to tell Tien – Trang and pay the couple 10 percent on the amount of money they were paid by their clients.
Checking Faifo karaoke bar, police discovered Duong Duy Tien together with many prostitutes waiting for phone calls from whoremasters.
Tien-Trang confessed that they “recruited” girls from across the country to serve whoremongers. To hide from police’s detection, the couple rented a karaoke room at Faifo karaoke bar to do their transactions with customers and provide prostitutes.

Thanh Khe district police made tests and found out that some of the girls were positive for drugs.
According to Thanh Khe district police, this prostitution ring had operated for about two years, with more than 20 girls.
Starting from March 2012, Thanh Khe district police had planned to break this ring. After over six months of keeping a close watch on the ring and collecting evidence, police knocked this large-scale prostitution ring.
