Artists in simple and traditional costumes express daily activities of farmers in rice fields via contemporary dance moves in the rhythm of Southern-style shanty, cai luong (Southern opera), percussion and zither.

The 75-minute show will consist of seven parts, including On the field, Fragrance from pagoda, Seasons, Night, Bumper harvest, Silk and Rice. Suong Som was first performed at the international contemporary dance festival in South Korea last year.

The event also sees the participation of Meritorious Artist Ngo Thuy To Nhu who won silver medal at a dancing contest in South Korea earlier this year and Japanese dance partner Genta Fujikawa, zither artist Hai Phuong, cai luong artist Hong Tham and two popular composers Ton That An from France and Duc Tri (Vietnam).

The Mist’s purpose is to honor the important role of farmers in Vietnam and to pay tribute to what they bring to the country.

For tickets contact Ms. Thu Hang on 0904 074 447 or Ms. Phuong on 0903 966 798.
