The Mid-Autumn Festival is an annual event which is held on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, which falls on September 13 this year.
Tuyen Quang province has been the host of the lantern festival each year since 2004.
Children appear delighted at being able to see the vast array of lanterns on display at the street parade during the festival.
Each of the festival’s large lanterns were produced by local residents.
A number of incredible designs were showcased on the lanterns displayed during the street parade.
Many of the local people who participated in the parade spent several months completing animal-shaped lanterns to wow audiences.
