Truong Gia Binh – FPT

President of FPT, a well known technology group in Vietnam, was born in 1956 in Da Nang. He received the mathematics – physics doctorate from the Lomonosov University in the former Soviet Union and the associate professor title in 1991 in Vietnam.

Binh was one of the founders of FPT group which was established in 1988 as a food processing company. In 2002, the company got equitized and changed its name into the FPT Investment and Technology Development Corporation.

In early 2008, the corporation changed its name into the FPT Joint Stock Company which has been well known in Vietnam in the information technology sector.

By the end of 2011, FPT had had 10 subsidiaries with 11,926 workers. The total assets of FPT have reached 15 trillion dong, while the post tax profit 2080 billion dong.

The success of FPT can show the leading role of Truong Gia Binh who has helped make FPT an information technology symbol in Vietnam.

Mr Pham Huy Hung

Pham Huy Hung – Vietinbank

Chair of Vietinbank Pham Huy Hung was born in 1954 in Hanoi, got the doctorate in 1997.

In June 2009, Hung was appointed as the Chair of the Board of Directors of Vietinbank and has been on the post until now. With 20 years of working for Vietinbank, one of the biggest banks in Vietnam. Hung has become one of the most influential portraits in the banking sector.

Vietinbank’s total assets had reached 460.604 billion dong by the end of 2011, while the post tax profit 22,374 billion dong. Vietinbank is now a big finance group with six subsidiaries, hundreds of branches in Vietnam, Germany and Laos.

Pham Thi Viet Nga – Hau Giang Pharmacy

Nga, General Director of the Hau Giang Pharmacy Company, has been well known as the businesswoman given the credit for turning Hau Giang Pharmacy into one of the most powerful companies in the pharmacy sector.

Nga was born in 1951 in Can Tho province. She is a chemist and doctor of economics. She has been on the post of the Chair of the Board of Directors of Hau Giang Pharmacy since 2004.

When Nga took over Hau Giang Pharmacy, the company’s turnover was modest at 895 million dong. Meanwhile, the turnover of the company with nine subsidiaries jumped to 2491 billion dong in 2011 and the post tax profit 419.76 billion dong.

Ly Quy Trung – Pho 24

The name of Ly Quy Trung has been associated with the Pho 24 brand – the pho (noodle soup) franchise chain. The founder of Pho 24 brand has the doctorate in business administration at the US Western Kennedy University, bachelor of economics at Western Sydney University, Australia and master degree at Griffith University in Australia.

There’s an interesting thing about the businessman is that he once failed the domestic university entrance exam and then worked as waiter and receptionist at a hotel.
