The events offer visitors an insight into the tradition of making lacquer products in Vietnam, the ups and downs of the sector, and the impact of the lacquer craft in applied and visual art sectors.

Visitors to Kim Ngan Temple at 42-44 Hang Bac Street, Hoan Kiem District can see diverse lacquer products such as worshipping items, interior decorations and souvenirs apart from tools for making lacquer items and the lacquer making process until May 2.

Activities, which aim to promote the traditional lacquer craft, are also held at the cultural exchange center of the Hanoi Old Quarter, 50 Dao Duy Tu Street, and the heritage house at 87 Ma May Street.

Tran Thuy Lan, deputy head of the Hanoi Old Quarter authority, said there is a wide selection of lacquer products, which are favored by foreign visitors.
