Pop singer Tuan Hung has closed his Facebook account, saying he is under too much pressure from public attacks after he posted a status in which he used coarse words to express his anger towards a show's organiser.
"I can't bear anymore the pressure from this social network," Hung wrote in his last entry.
"Now I will say goodbye to facebook where I have got lots of joys sharing about life and work with my friends, because this social network is also making me totally down. I decide to say goodbye to you and spend more time for my family," he posted.

There has been a storm of comments on Tuan Hung's wall following his post on July 18, in which he said: "I will never perform in the Favourite Songs Show again. You damn despised me so I won't respect you anymore."
Hung also attached a photo of the ticket for the show and tagged veteran composer Huy Tuan, the director of music for the show. The post came after the Hanoi-based singer performed one song at the Favourite Songs July Show on July 17. It is said that the ticket used his name and image, but he was relegated below younger performers, which maddened the 38-year-old singer.
Many fans seemed to understand their idol's anger and commented that the show's organiser did not respect Hung by giving him minor billing on the ticket. They said Hung was right to be angry about the way he was treated.
But more criticised the singer for being rude, especially when he is a judge on the "Voice of Vietnam" show.
Singer My Linh, who is considered one of the three divas in Vietnam music industry, commented: "Is that you Hung, I hope not. You shouldn't say such coarse words in public place. You should remember that without you they can still have many other good singers."
Young singer Van Mai Huong was also shocked by Hung's post. "What's the matter with you? Please calm down".
Hung replied that My Linh should look at herself before lecturing him. A debate among fans of the two artists broke out until Hung deleted the post.
