A lot of young faces can be found on the 2015 list of stock billionaires. While the oldest is over 70, the youngest ones are in their twenties.

Nguyen Tran Thao Nguyen, for example, holds stock assets worth VND70 billion at the age of 24.

Nguyen is the daughter of Nguyen Quang Hoa, deputy chair of Thien Nam Import/Export Company. 

There are other familiar names such as Dang Nguyen Quynh Anh, the daughter of Dang Thanh Tam, president of Kinh Bac Group, an infrastructure developer, and Nguyen Ngoc Nhat Hanh, the daughter of Nguyen Thi Mai Thanh, chair of the Refrigeration Engineering Enterprise (REE).

Tram Khai Hoa is the richest among under-30 stock billionaires with assets worth VND300 billion.

However, the billionaires are from business families and they can inherit huge assets from their parents.

The two founders of The Gioi Di Dong (MWG) – Dinh Anh Huan and Dieu Chinh Hai Trieu  - have been recognized as the youngest and most self-reliant billionaires on the bourse.

At the age of 36, Huan is the co-founder of both Seedcom and MWG. After the MWG’s IPO (initial public offering), Huan now gathers strength to develop Seedcom.

Meanwhile, Dieu Chinh Hai Trieu is still a member of MWG’s Board of Directors and Technical Director. He is the director of Thien Ma Import/Export Co Ltd, director of Son Ban Company ltd and a member of The Gioi Dien Tu Trade JSC.

Some others started their careers as hired workers. The youngest among them are women.

On the first position of the list is Duong Hoang Quynh Nhu, 34. Nhu is now deputy CEO of STB, holding 9.65 million STB shares worth VND80 billion.

Local newspapers could not find detailed information about Nhu’s career path. In 2004-2008, Nhu was reported as taking the post of assistant to the general director of Dai Loan Garment Company, and then member of Board of Directors and Deputy CEO of Phuong Nam Bank.

Le Thi Dieu Thanh’s stock asset is valued at VND9 billion, but she still is well known because she is among the youngest billionaires. Thanh was once an officer of TDC Company. Now she is member of the Supervisory Board of TDC and Member of the Board of Directors  of BCE, a construction firm.

Meanwhile, HVG’s deputy general director Le Kim Phung, 34, holds 1.28 million HVG shares, worth VND16.5 billion.
