Thousands of visitors have flocked to the Van Phuc silk village in Ha Dong district, Hanoi, to attend the annual Van Phuc Handicraft Village Cultural Week, which is taking place from November 8 to 17 with an aim to introduce the more than-1,000-year-old craft of silk weaving in the village to visitors at home and abroad.

Hundreds of colourful umbrellas were hung up along the street, with booths showcasing silk cloths and products running along the sides.
